While Jesse James mistresses continue to come out of the woodwork, scorned Sandra Bullock has been living in her Hollywood Hills home – alone – for a week.

That’s just a few miles from the house she shared with her husband, and the newly-crowned Oscar winner has gone to great lengths to stay on the down low.

Wednesday, Sandra left the Hollywood Hills house she’s living in now (and lived in before marrying Jesse), taking precautions before heading to … the garage.

Two of her assistants held up a tarp to block any shot from cameras.

Somebody appears quite serious about her privacy right now, and given the things her jackass husband is accused of, it’s pretty much impossible to blame her.

Sandra has rarely left, although various people have come in and out. She has not been back to the Orange County house where Jesse lives since moving out.

According to sources, Sandra has no plans to return there unless he’s gone, either. Although he released a vague apology, that apparently hasn’t been enough.

There are rumors circulating that Bullock has met with divorce lawyers, though her rep has shot those down. You wonder if it’s only a matter of time, however.

While she has not commented at all publicly, it looks like she’s sending a very clear message to James. Similar to the one Michelle McGee sent to the haters.

The divorce rumors have swirled since last week, and been semi-confirmed. But are Larry King and Shawn Southwick still going to make this thing work?

“There’s a 50-50 chance this divorce is not happening,” King’s lawyer Dennis Wasser says. “It’s not clear to me which way he’s going to turn on this issue.”

Man, this guy changes his mind about getting divorced almost as often as he … actually gets divorced. That would be seven times, not including this one.

“His focus is on the best interest of his children,” Wasser adds, noting that regardless of what they decide about the marriage, they will seek counseling.

The revelation comes after Larry and Shawn, who have been married over a decade, were seen arm-in-arm Sunday at their sons’ baseball game in L.A.

The pair also embraced at a previous game one day after both filed for divorce, separately, amid rumors of infidelity … by both parties. It’s confusing.

Larry is accused of boning Shawn’s younger sister Shannon Engemann.

Shawn has allegedly been doing it with the kids’ coach, Hector Penate.

Turns out, she can also express an opinion.

In the most recent edition of Newsweek, openly gay writer Ramin Setoodeh states that homosexuals do NOT make convincing straight men on stage or on film. For example, he refers to Sean Hayes’ performance in the Broadway musical Promises, Promises as “wooden and insincere.”

In response, Chenoweth writes:

“I’d normally keep silent on such matters and write such small-minded viewpoints off as perhaps a blip in common sense. But the offense I take to this article, and your decision to publish it is not really even related to my profession or my work with Hayes or Jonathan Groff (also singled out in the article as too ‘queeny’ to play ’straight’). This article offends me because I am a human being, a woman and a Christian.”

She continues:

“Thousands of people have traveled from all over the world to enjoy Hayes performance and dont seem to have one single issue with his sexuality! They have no problem buying him as a love-torn heterosexual man. Audiences arent giving a darn about who a person is sleeping with or his personal life. Give me a break!

“Were actors first, whether were playing prostitutes, baseball players, or the Lion King. Audiences come to theater to go on a journey. Its a character and its called acting, and Id put Hayes and his brilliance up there with some of the greatest actors period.

“The examples he provides (what scientists call ’selection bias’) to prove his ‘gays can’t play straight’ hypothesis are sloppy in my opinion… No one needs to see a bigoted, factually inaccurate article that tells people who deviate from heterosexual norms that they can’t be open about who they are and still achieve their dreams.”

The late Simon Monjack was, by all accounts, a shady individual with his fare share of detractors – the list of which is sure to grow with the following revelation.

A laptop has unearthed a secret Brittany Murphy’s husband carried to his grave when he suddenly passed away last month. Two secrets, to be more accurate.

Simon’s mother, brother and therapist stayed at his home last week with Brittany Murphy’s mom, Sharon Murphy, who had been living with Brittany and Simon.

When they left, they took Simon’s laptop. At some point, they went through it and found emails from two women wanting money from Simon for child support.

According to TMZ, citing people who have reviewed the emails on Simon’s computer, Con-Jack had a son with one baby mama and a daughter by another. Wow.

He was really living up to his seedy reputation. Also in the computer were wire transfers of large amounts of money – as much as $48,000 in a single transfer.

Simon, who our readers decried and lambasted from day one, was sending the money to lawyers, as well as someone in Europe for some sort of settlement.

Reports say the family of Simon Monjack felt the coroner should have the laptop and handed it over. The coroner’s office is currently reviewing the contents.

Oh, and Sharon Murphy apparently went ballistic and filed a theft report with the local police, adding another interesting twist to this already bizarre saga.

Brittany Murphy died after suffering cardiac arrest in December.

What else was he hiding? Did Brittany Murphy know about Simon’s children? Was he siphoning her money to pay their child support? We may never know.

The Hills are alive … with a season and series finale this summer.

All we have to say is that this is a sad, sad day, for Spencer Pratt.

Just when Heidi Montag’s DDD “hills” were starting to rival the size of the Hollywood area the show is named after, MTV said the forthcoming Season Six will be its last.

The new season, debuting Tuesday, April 27, begins the final chapter. “We owe it to the fans and the show to go out on a high note,” says MTV president Tony DiSanto.

“This season will deliver on that goal in terms of drama, story, real emotion, and an organic culmination of this saga.” Not that we’re being overdramatic at all there.

The ladies of The Hills filming … possibly for the last time.

Final episodes of The Hills feature Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery being revealed to her mom, a scene executive producer Liz Gateley calls “touching, but heartbreaking.”

The cameras will also follow the cast dealing with substance abuse: Kristin Cavallari faces rumors of drug use after partying in Miami, and Stephanie Pratt gets a DUI.

Meanwhile, Audrina Patridge will date Ashlee Simpson’s reality TV ex, Ryan Cabrera. They tease the possible return of Lauren Conrad, but MTV makes no promises.

As for Spencer, who’s on anger management hiatus from Hills filming to “deal with some stuff,” creator Adam DiVello says “he’ll still be in most of the episodes.”
